Our High Street is still a lively place to shop and meet your neighbours........ hairdressers, pet shop, art galleries, health food store, deli, grocers, newsagent.... they're all there, a focus for community life and the one of the engines of the local economy: money spent there stays local, unlike the money you spend at Tesco, Asda and the like.
Kings Langley also has plenty of good places to wine and dine, snack and sip. There's the Rose & Crown at one end of the High Street and the Young Pretender at the other.
If you're in business in Abbots Langley, Apsley, Bovingdon and Chipperfield then why not advertise on this site? Advertising in the business directory here is FREE. This is a no strings attached deal. Simply create and account - add your text and an image and that's it. |

Small stores in communities such as Kings Langley, Chipperfield, Bovingdon and Abbots Langley give those communities a heart. Imagine there were no stores and we were to rely entirely on Tesco, Sainsbury's or Asda.
It would be a sad old place to live: we'd have no local point to venture, meet, chat, and shop of course. When we need milk or eggs we'd have to get the car out for a run to the nearest mega-store to do something that we now can do with a brief stroll. |
Let's hope this never happens - but in reality the aggressive nature of some of these big guns in retail means they'd happily see off every store in the land in pursuit of ruling our every consumer need.
This website promotes local business to local residents. We hope this website can do its bit to help keep local businesses thriving and keep those monsters of retail at bay. LET'S KEEP IT LOCAL!
We've prepared a few photos ready for use for all the High Street stores - Click Here - and you should see your shop image stored and ready to use. But call if you need help (07709 356910 and speak to Ed the Editor! who happens to be a photographer who can easily come to see you if you want more detailed/different/better images of your business) Or you can visit him: Ed's business is based in Kings Langley. If you want to pop round to see him - call first and he'll put the kettle on! |
